![]() ![]() Only Shadow Stats shows packet loss spikes, but seems related to one of the hops in London shown in Pingplotter. I used Shadow speed test to get IP for Shadow server and then used PingPlotter in Shadow VM to ping Shadow server and ping my local device. For example, Forza Horizon 4's native benchmarking tool is struggling to run game at highest settings without dropping frames (stutter) which is possibly explaining (or at least hinting at) why Shadow streaming app shows stuttering/packet loss because the game itself is stuttering in Shadow VM before it even gets streamed Simply enabling QoS fixed the high bufferbloat being measured by ThinkBroadband speed test and has drastically reduced packet loss and ping spikes in Shadow Stats and games seem to be running better in Shadow VM now too, though there is something going on with vsysnc and game settings which has me thinking Nvidia GPU drivers or Shadow encoding could be an issue too. I bought a cloud gaming certified Asus ROG Rapture AC2900 router and a draytek 130 modem to replace the Smart Hub supplied by my ISP. Basically ThinkBroadband speed test measures "bufferbloat" on both upload and download traffic and I was scoring lowest on upload bufferbloat (seeing 200+ ms of bufferbloat on upload traffic). I found using ThinkBroadband, dslreport and speed tests useful for helping resolving packet loss and ping spikes in Shadow VM as they help explain what Shadow Stats is showing us which is differential between loaded and unloaded network latency, imo.
